Cindy Mabe Exits Universal Music Group Nashville as Chair/CEO

In a widely anticipated decision, Cindy Mabe has resigned from her role as chair and CEO of Universal Music Nashville following nearly 18 years with the company and two years in the position, multiple sources have confirmed to Gorilla Music Group. Mabe assumed the role in April 2023, a few months after long-serving CEO Mike Dungan announced his retirement. She was the first woman to lead a major label group in Nashville. Her successor has not been immediately named.
