Even if Selena Gomez steps away from music, she plans on making a "revival" eventually. After the singer/actress, 31, went viral earlier this year for saying, “I feel like I have one more album in me,” on a podcast, she clarified her comments in a new interview with Rolling Stone that was published on Monday.
Gomez explained that “it’s not that it’s, ‘no, never’” when it comes to music, but that she anticipates taking “breaks” as she focuses more on her love for acting.
“I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy,” the Grammy-nominated artist said. “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space.”
“It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.” As Gomez opened up about her on-screen aspirations, she also told the outlet about the kind of projects she hopes to pursue. “I love being able to take roles that I have to fight for, not the ones that are being handed to me,” the superstar said. “I’m going for the stuff that really, really inspires me.”
